A guide to understanding materials without assuming that every preview has the same specification.
Read the specific product description
Refer to the specific product page for confirmed details. Different pieces have different appearances and finishes. A silver-colored image is not evidence of silver content, and a gold-colored finish does not by itself establish solid gold, gold plating or vermeil.
Confirmed metal content, coating, relevant components, stone identity and care instructions must be provided for the specific item before ordering opens.
What sterling silver means
Sterling silver describes an alloy containing at least 92.5 percent silver by weight. The term will be used for a LunarCarat item only when the specification is supported. A 925 stamp alone does not verify every component or replace appropriate material evidence.
Alloys and surface treatments can affect appearance and care. Do not assume every chain, clasp, setting or decorative element has the same composition unless the product description confirms it.
Moissanite and other stones
Moissanite is a gemstone distinct from diamond. If it is offered, it will be identified as moissanite. It will not be described as a natural diamond or a laboratory-grown diamond.
Stone identity, stone dimensions and any stated weight or diamond-equivalent comparison must be identified clearly for the item. A bright or clear stone in a preview image does not establish its identity or grade.
Finishes and everyday wear
Plating and other finishes can wear with friction, chemicals and moisture. Color may appear different on different screens. Natural wear and care requirements do not justify a false description or remove remedies for a defect.
We do not make blanket claims that every item is hypoallergenic, nickel-free, waterproof, permanently tarnish-free, recycled or ethically certified. Such claims require specific supporting evidence.
