This guide uses the Heartbeat Heart Necklace as a specific example: an open-heart pendant crossed by a heartbeat line, listed in 925 sterling silver with cubic zirconia accents. Optional free engraving goes on a metal tag. The heart pendant's front is not the engraving surface.
1. Start with their style
Look at the pieces the recipient already wears. Do they choose silver-tone jewelry? Do they prefer a personal detail or a more noticeable shape? The best gift feels comfortable to the wearer. Check the product's measurements before purchase. If a measurement or fit detail you need is not listed, ask sales@lunarcarat.com before ordering. Do not judge size from a close-up photograph alone.
2. Choose one memory
- Initials: a discreet reference to two people, such as A + M.
- A date: a beginning you both recognize, in a format the recipient understands.
- A short word: a familiar reminder such as Always or Together.
The allowance is 10 characters, including spaces and punctuation, in one line. English letters, numbers and standard English punctuation are supported; accented letters and emoji are not. Browse engraving ideas with character counts before choosing your own text.
3. Understand the personalization
Choose no engraving or add free engraving on the product page. On the Heartbeat necklace, engraving is on the tag, using one fixed font. There is no live engraving preview. Do not expect engraving on the pendant face or assume a social-media text layout is a photograph of finished engraving.
Check your text character by character. We reproduce capitalization and spacing as submitted. Contact us promptly if you notice a mistake after ordering; a change cannot be guaranteed once production has begun.
4. Plan ahead
The current estimate is approximately 7 business days for preparation and personalization, followed by approximately 15 business days in transit. Orders ship directly from production partners in China. Weekends, public holidays, customs and incomplete details can add time.
Starting your gift planning 6–8 weeks ahead allows a buffer, but is not a guaranteed delivery service. If you need an item for a fixed date, contact us before ordering. Do not assume an event-date promise.
5. Check the full cost
For Canada, standard shipping is CAD 15 below a qualifying CAD 49 order and free at CAD 49 or more. For the United States, it is USD 15 below USD 49 and free at USD 49 or more. Review the current product price and currency at checkout.
Applicable sales taxes and recipient-paid import duties, import taxes, brokerage or clearance charges may be additional unless checkout explicitly says they are included or collected. Free shipping covers standard delivery, not every possible charge. Read shipping and delivery.
6. Read the return conditions
Engraved items are final sale for change-of-mind returns and exchanges. A customer-approved spelling error reproduced accurately is different from an engraving error we cause. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or misdescribed goods and mandatory consumer rights remain subject to the applicable remedies.
For items ordered without engraving, contact us within 14 days of delivery to request a return or exchange. Items must be unworn, in their original packaging and resalable.
